The HOLIDAY MUSEUM has existed at our SBO school, De Kimkiel, for 7 years now. Every year everyone involved with the school - children, colleagues, taxi drivers, trainees - gets a holiday assignment. Every year we give something and we ask you to do something/or collect something during the holiday: a bottle of water, fill a bowl of sand, send a postcard from your holiday/home address with the enclosed stamp, of the euro given a buy a nice ice cream and take a picture there, or blow bubbles together with your friend, father / mother or grandpa / grandma and take a photo of it. After the summer, we set up an annual holiday museum with all those images. With these images we do all kinds of great activities at the start of the new school year: a bubble blowing day, an ice cream truck on the square, an artist who paints with parents and students.... This year we have the NAMES MUSEUM. 'Make/write/lay' your name somewhere on your holiday destination. With shells, twigs, pebbles, candies, writing in the sand, drawing… or whatever you like or think of yourself. And wherever you are on holiday in the world! How beautiful is it to symbolize that with that beautiful globe keychain?
